Resources for Best Insurance Information

Insurance can be complicated.  To make matters worse, much of the information posted online can be dated or posted in order to scare you.  That’s how many people believe it’s the way to get consumers to buy.

My name is Jesse Slome and I didn’t start my career in the insurance business.  And while I have earned the top educational designations in the insurance industry, I do NOT sell insurance today.

I created several insurance organizations with the hope that I could educate consumers.  And, at the same time, hopefully support insurance professionals.

With that in mind,  I provide the following information and links to valuable resources.

Resources: Long-Term Care Insurance

In 1998, I founded the American Association for Long-Term Care insurance and have and continue to serve as it’s director.  Long-term care is a vital topic and planning should take place generally before age 65.  That will give you the most options – long-term care insurance being one of them.

Here are some links to pages on the Association’s website.

Resources: Medicare Supplement Insurance

In 2000, I established the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance and serve as it’s director.  Medicare is actually a complicated program to understand with various options including Medicare Advantage, Medigap and of course just standard Medicare Part A and Part B.  Plans and options vary significantly.

Resources: Critical Illness Insurance

In 2009, I established the American Association for Critical Illness Insurance.  This form of protection is actually quite common around the world but awareness in the U.S. is low.  However, I believe it is a vital form of protection for men and women between ages 45 and 65 and we will focus on building awareness.

Resources for Travelers.  When I am not working, I love to travel and I definitely appreciate the quality of the various tours offered by Overseas Adventure Travel and their parent Grand Circle.  Granted there are less expensive companies – but I believe that OAT provides great value for what they provide.
